8 Best Calorie-Loaded Foods for your Finicky Toddler

Some parents, despite their very best efforts, wind up with picky eaters. While most children certainly go through phases, there is a smaller percentage that remains finicky about every food, to the point that weight gain is absolutely necessary.

They have a higher calorie count than fresh fruit and often seem more like candy to children. Plus, they are loaded with fiber, vitamins and minerals that your child needs.

Whole milk is a great way to help your child pack on some pounds. You can make it more palatable by adding chocolate syrup to it. If you’d prefer a more natural flavoring, you can mix it with a banana in your blender and make “Monkey Milk.” Sometimes simply giving something ordinary a fun name makes your child less hesitant to eat it.

Grab them from the drive-thru and they’ll be covered in more than high calories. They’ll be covered in unhealthy fats. Make them yourself for a healthier, high-calorie meal your child will love. Nuggets are also highly dunkable so your child can have fun pairing it with various sauces, making it even more high calorie and more interactive a meal. And what child doesn’t love that?
