Smart Baby! 4 Ways to Make Your Baby Bright in the Womb

As your baby grows inside of you, your baby is also learning from you. By actively communicating and stimulating your baby while within the womb, it will help have a positive impact on your baby’s future. Brain cells are rapidly developing in your unborn baby every single day. The more stimulation provided, the stronger and more developed those cells and pathways in the brain will be, giving your child the best preparation to face the new world outside the womb.

Want to make sure your child has the brightest future possible? Start doing these things today:

Talk to your unborn baby
It might feel a little strange talking to your baby while they’re still inside of you, but it’s a habit you should get used to anyway. From the moment your child is born, your daily life should be filled with narrations about what you’re doing so your baby can learn words and situations faster. These might seem rather ordinary or boring, but it’s essential for learning. Babies think that everything is new, because to them it IS new. So while going to the bank is a boring task, your baby will find it fascinating. If you’re not ready for a full on running monologue, you can work your way up to it. To start, try singing or humming first. Then you can work your way up to talking. Try reading stories too.

Start thinking about baby
Your baby is probably already on your mind a great deal of the time. When you consciously shift your thoughts to positive ones about the baby, your baby will be able to sense this. This will leave your baby feeling comforted and loved, and very safe.

Rub that belly
You probably already rub your belly often every day, but the more you do it, the more your baby knows it. Try varying the types of touch from rubbing to patting. You can also coordinate it with music you are listening to, which is another great way to stimulate your baby in the womb.

Avoid stressful situations
As that one overplayed song from Frozen suggests, “let it go.” Too much stress has been shown to have a negative effect on babies as they develop in the womb. The environment that you surround yourself with should be as calming and peaceful as possible in order to mentally nourish your baby properly.

By consciously doing these things, you will be giving your baby a leg-up in the right direction. Proper brain development is crucial and giving your child added advantages can only make their future brighter.
